It is within easy reach of the cities of Nottingham, Leicester and Derby, and has good access to and from the M1 Motorway. East Midlands Airport (Castle Donington, Leicestershire) is also nearby.
Directions from M1 Motorway (journey time 12 minutes (7.5 miles)):
- From Junction 24 take A453 (Remembrance Way) towards Nottingham
- After 2.5 miles take second exit (West Leake Junction; signposted West Leake, Thrumpton, Gotham, Sutton Bonington)
- At roundabout take third exit (signposted West Leake, Gotham, Sutton Bonington)
- At next roundabout take third exit onto West Leake Lane (signposted West Leake, Gotham, Sutton Bonington)
- After 0.8 miles at crossroads turn left onto Gotham Road / Kegworth Road (signposted Gotham, Nottingham; East Leake, Costock)
- After 1.3 miles at roundabout take second exit onto Gypsum Way (signposted East Leake, Gypsum works)
- After 0.9 miles at roundabout take second exit onto Leake Road / Gotham Road
- After 1.4 miles take first turning on right onto Stocking Lane
- Entrance to golf club on right-hand side near top of hill
